3 Month Goals (May-July)

The past few months have been crazy. Randall & I got married in Georgia. I started a new position at work. This blog kind of took a backseat for a while. 😔 I'm finally back on my feet and have a more steady schedule to get stuff done! It is very exciting and I’m ready to write out some goals for the next few months. But first, let’s see what goals were achieved from the last post.

In the last 3 months I was supposed to:

Set up an Editorial Calendar for 2016 - I managed to do the next 3 months worth of ideas!

Set up Social Media tracking - This sounds silly, but I don’t really remember what I meant by this. I definitely need to be more specific with my goals.

Figure out shop shipping guidelines and costs - I did some research and was getting excited about it. Then came the time to really sit down and think about what I wanted to create. I originally wanted to do etched glasses, but the fact that I have to charge a lot for shipping was really bugging me. Then I considered some other options and decided that for now, this goal was to be put on hold. I love the idea of selling on Etsy but I don’t think I’m ready for it right now. I have thought of some other options in my etched glass design sales and even played around with trying to create other products! It’s been a great lesson in learning when to let go.

Blog twice a week starting in January - Oh my. This failed so brilliantly it’s almost not funny. I really do want to make more consistent blog posts but the past few months were too crazy for me. Planning a wedding from another state took up way more time than I expected. I don’t know why I thought it was going to be so much easier than it actually was.

Create Items in Etsy Shop - I have created new etched glasses but am changing my game plan for Etsy!

Create Everyday - Oh boy. Didn’t happen.

Start 100 days of Yoga - I started! I lasted about 20 days before I fell off the wagon. I am really wanting to get back into working out on a regular basis, whether that’s yoga or something else is totally fine with me.

My year has definitely been off to a rocky start with goals. Changes needed to be made for sure. A big part of this was how often I looked over these goals. I think I only looked over them twice in 3 months. TWICE!? No bueno. I am writing these goals into my bullet journal to make sure I revisit these goals every week and break them down to be done in small parts every day!

In the next 3 months I want to:

Blog twice a week - I’m updating my editorial calendar and trying to get some skeleton posts done so I don’t feel like I’m starting from scratch all the time.

Work out 3 times a week - I want to follow the Blogilates calendar or just do Bad Yogi yoga videos. I also just signed up for a gym!

Get my routines in order (morning, night and weekly) - They are currently written out in my bullet journal and I am making a habit of just looking at them everyday. Baby steps!

Read 5 books -Part of my nightly routine is to read before bed.

Post on Instagram daily - This one is going to take a bit of effort on my part. Not only in remembering to do it, but providing quality pictures! I am not sure how to achieve this goal in the way I want just yet. But I will start with research!

I will update on these soon! Hopefully there will be much better results this time around. :)
